Regarding Internet Explorer

A problem has been identified when using Internet Explorer version 6 with the PeopleSoft systems after the switch was made to LDAP/M Key authentication. The workaround is to upgrade to Internet Explorer version 7 or a current version of Firefox.

Please do NOT use Internet Explorer 8 with PeopleSoft Financials. It has not yet been certified for use with PeopleSoft applications and has in fact caused problems for many who upgraded early, causing them to back out the changes and return to IE 7.

Please use Internet Explorer 7.

Configure Your Computer for Excel Downloads from PeopleSoft

In order to allow downloads of financial data to Excel when working in PeopleSoft, you must make sure that your computer is configured properly. Once your computer is set up properly, this method will allow you to quickly move data to Excel any time you see the Excel icon in PeopleSoft.

If you are using Windows Vista and Internet Explorer:

1. Open Internet Explorer
2. Select the Tools menu and choose Internet Options from the submenu.
3. Click on the Security tab.  Make sure that the first icon of the World: Internet is selected. 
   
4. Select Custom level
5. Scroll down to Downloads and make sure that "automatic prompting for file download" is checked.

If you are using Windows XP and Internet Explorer:

If you are using a Mac, Windows XP, or Vista and either Firefox or Safari, you simply need to ensure that popups are enabled.
